This is the fourth most populous country in the world. It is an independent Country which is found in the Southeast Asia and an Oceanic country with13466 islands and 33 provinces. Its capital city is known as Jakarta. The recent 2010 national census results shows that it has a population capacity of 237.6 million people, with 58% of the population living on the Java Island which the world's most populous island. The Indonesia population age structure is found to be; 0-14 years of age having a percentage of 27.7% consisting of 34,276,146 males and 33,094,836 females. The age bracket of 15-64 years has the most population with a 66.25 consisting of 80,806 males and 80,065,855 females. The last age bracket of 65 years and above has the least persons with only 6.1% comprising of 6,504,559 males and 8,220,537 females. Calculations of the median gives a total of 27.9 years with males 27.4% and females 28.4%.the population growth rate since 2010 is 1.097%, the birth rate is 18.45 births out of 1,000 population and the death rate being 6.25%/1000 population. According to the government press the net migration rate is -1.23 migrant(s)/1000 population. The population according to the urbanization consists of 52% of the population living in the urban. The infant mortality is 28.94 deaths/1,000 live births while the life expectancy at birth is 71.05 years that of males being 68.53 years and that of females 73.69 years. The total fertility rate is 2.28 children born per woman. Most of the population is Muslims 81.1%, Protestants 5.7%, Roman Catholics 3% and Hindu religion 1.8%. Despite the country's government effort of having effective family planning programs the Indonesia population growth has increased and this has lead to many negative factors.
